If you haven’t been to Edge Rooftop in Austin what are you waiting for?! This downtown poolside bar at the JW Marriott hotel creates an inviting atmosphere for a fun evening in Austin.
With views of the State Capitol and Lady Bird Lake the rooftop bar serves up all the necessary imbibements of beer, wine, and craft cocktails along with tacos and appetizers. It’s no wonder Edge Rooftop is super popular!
Otopia Rooftop Lounge
Address: 1901 San Antonio St. Unit 1100
Hours: 5 pm – 10 pm weekdays (until midnight weekends)
Sunset is the perfect time to mozy on over to Optopia rooftop pool and lounge in the Otis Hotel.
This snazzy rooftop bar with incredible Austin skyline views is just the place to unwind while sipping on your favorite cocktail and savoring tasty appetizers.

Azul Rooftop Lounge
Address: 310 E 5th St.
Hours: 3 pm to 11 pm Sun – Thurs (til midnight Fri/Sat)
Take in the view from the Azul Rooftop Lounge at the Westin – Austin’s highest rooftop bar so you know the views are rad. When it’s chilly at night cozy up by the fire pits.

Techo Mezcaleria & Agave Bar
Address: 2201 Manor Rd.

For something completely different during your rooftop barhopping in Austin you have to go to Techo Mezcaleria and Agave Bar above Mi Madre’s restaurant on Manor Road.
There’s a relaxed vibe at this mezcal and tequila joint – seems like a little slice of old Austin at this cozy and unassuming spot.
Cool the Texas heat with a Frozen Guava Agave Margarita.
Maggie Mae’s

For the classic Sixth Street experience in Austin you gotta check out Maggie Mae’s rooftop bar. There’s live music at Maggie Mae’s too, making it a favorite 6th Street rooftop bar.

El Alma is an excellent place for happy hour dinner and drinks or brunch (Saturday/Sunday/holidays). With their cute décor and fabulous menu of Mexican food you’ll feel like you really are in Mexico for a moment.

La Piscina is the poolside Mexican restaurant at Austin Proper Hotel near the trendy Second Street District in downtown Austin. Lovely atmosphere and views of downtown Austin but a bit spendy compared to other options in downtown Austin.
