Skiing/Snowboarding

You can rent all the right snowshoe gear in Banff, at Chateau Lake Louise (near the lobby), or in Calgary. I like Sports Rent on 16 Ave NW because they let you pick up the snowshoe gear after 4 pm the day before your rental, at no extra cost.
Johnston Canyon Hike
This is the scenic winter hike you’ve been looking for. Have you ever seen frozen waterfalls? If you have, you know how magical they look!
Simply follow the catwalks as you meander through the canyon and into a real-life winter wonderland.
You’ll pass through snow-dusted forests, frozen waterfalls, and hidden caves. And you will likely see ice climbers on the frozen waterfalls.
The vibrant shades of white and blue attract photographers and nature lovers alike. You won’t want to miss this on your visit.
Choose to do a self-guided trek, or to learn more about the surrounding geology, opt for a guided tour.
Ice skating at Lake Louise
