Mt Hood National forest is a great place to enjoy nature and take a hike. I hiked Little ZigZag Falls, it’s a beautiful family friendly hike along a creek to the amazing waterfall.
You should check the Mt Hood recreation page for any trail closures and to find out when campgrounds are open for the season if you want to camp.
Since there is usually no cell service you should download maps of Mt Hood while planning your trip. And always bring the 10 essentials on hiking trips. Remember to bring layers of clothing, it’s colder in the higher elevation areas, and bring a rain jacket too.
